After a runway delay and unexpected travel hiccup, she explores what it looks like to stay grounded and shift your energy in the moment instead of spiraling. It's Fuck Yeah Friday.

Brad Crowell 0:01

Fuck yeah.

Lesley Logan 0:03

Welcome to the Be It Till You See It podcast where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring. I'm Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I've trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it's the antidote to fear. Each week, my guest will bring bold, executable, intrinsic and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It's a practice, not a perfect. Let's get started.

Lesley Logan 0:48

Hi, Be It babe. How are you? Happy Friday. Welcome to your first Friday in April. We did it. We're here. Ah, I'm currently in Europe, but still being inspired by you. And have some wins of yours to share, and couple wins of mine and and some inspiration and a mantra and something like that, right? Like, that's how this episode goes. And I'm just really grateful for you, to be honest. So the inspiration from the interwebs that I was like, oh my god, I have to tell the Be It babes, that's you. By the way, if you're listening, you're brand new here, hi. This is from @ucanoutdoors. I don't know what that means, @ucanoutdoors. That's what that means. Okay, how about that? Well, the link's in the show notes they shared this post, it has handwritten it says, your time on Earth is limited. Don't try to age with grace, age with mischief, audacity and a good story to tell from a healed life. I am obsessed. Let me say that one more time. Don't try to age with grace. Age with mischief, audacity and a good story to tell. Well, we've got some good stories for your guys to tell.

Lesley Logan 1:45

So we always do a little win of yours. And so I got two from you guys. I was like, hey guys, I want some wins. You know you can send them in right? beitpod.com/questions where you can send your questions in and your wins in. And you know what you might need to hear your win from the past on a day that it comes up, because, like, sometimes we're just having a day, right? Like, I'll be honest, I woke up and today was a day, so I'm excited to be talking and recording with you, because today was just a day, and that's just because I had a crappy flight. More on that another moment. Okay, so @creative_soul_pilates, I got to hang out with a childhood friend and reconnect. It was so good for the soul. That's so fun a friend from childhood that you still hanging out with, that's amazing. I don't know that, but I have seen on TV, and it looks so delightful, I can totally see how that is for the soul.

Lesley Logan 2:36

And I don't say that to be like, don't, don't feel sorry for me. Like, but I that those of you who have those childhood friends that like it's good for your soul, I love that for you, I think that is the cool. What a win that you guys could just evolve and grow and change and stay in touch with each other in a positive, supporting way. That means you're two badass humans. That's really what it means. All right, @meganlinney, she'd been on the pod before, by the way, she wrote, I've accomplished my greatest pivot and accelerated timing with like-minded people. Infinite wins. And I couldn't agree more, I've been watching from the sidelines. I'm so happy for you. You know, you really have, like, talk about no one, no one likes the word pivot anymore. I think it became the new the new word no one can hear. It's like, nailed on a chalkboard. But honestly, like, sometimes you need to do it. And when you do it, you want to do it like you did Megan, because you are absolutely a model for how to pivot with well, you know, like I started the podcast with audacity and a good story to tell.

Lesley Logan 3:33

All right, my win. So two things. One, I don't think I've actually done this with you guys on a FYF. We're a top 1% podcast because of you. So thanks so much. I think I said it on one of the recap episodes, but I just want to make sure I say it here, in case you listen to these more, that's a huge win. That's like a five year in the making win, like, just absolutely wonderful, and without ads and without, you know, doing crazy, wild, clickbaity stuff. So just really proud that we could do it authentically and with you. And I felt like this because of you. My win is, okay, so I was like, I was having a great day. I was in Sacramento for like, what was supposed to only be, like, 30 hours, not even like I supposed to see 25 hours, and it turned it into 30 something hours. And that's because I was just like, having the best time. I was really proud of myself. I was even outgoing by myself at a bar at the lounge. Not my normal thing. I was allowing myself to, like, just enjoy, like, people watching and what was going on, and be part of it, and part of the Olympics and all this stuff. And, you know, it's just really great. And I was like, oh, look at me. I'm like, oh, on this plane, it's just gonna be so easy. And get on the plane, and we get down the runway, and I was like, okay, babe, I'll see you in an hour. Make sure you're on time. Don't be late. I don't want to go to bed late. And we don't take off, and we're just sitting there, and it's like, not great, it's like, what is happening? And they come on, and they go, okay, we have to reset the system. And I'm like, I don't know that I want to be on a plane, that they're resetting the system while I'm on the runway. What? So anyways, that didn't work. They turned us around and we got off, and they're like, okay, we're gonna figure out what's next. And I'm like, what's next? I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, that took me three months to get you have got to get me home. Like, I don't know if I would have a good night's sleep at a hotel. You've got to get me home tonight. And so I sat there, but I tried to be really patient. I just like, I'm not going to be like, some Karen who is going to go up and yell, I'm just going to, like, sit here and be chill. I mean, I just had a great time at the bar, like, I'm just going to sit here and be chill. And I sat there long enough for them to say, okay, meet back at this gate in one hour. And I was like, I'm gonna take myself out to dinner now. So took myself out to dinner and got on the plane, and I just let myself, like, let I decided to see what it would be like if I didn't get upset about something. And it was quite nice. So it was annoying, it was frustrating. It was all the feelings. And I was just like, what if I just, like, enjoy that I have more time in an airport and I can have a burger and, like, you know, and I'll say, like, it meant that the night was really enjoyable. Brad picked me up and we had fun. I found this account that was like singing bad bunny songs with with the Spanish lyrics, so I could read the Spanish lyrics, but with English words, so that I could hear the English in the cadence of the words of bad bunny so that when I listen to the bad bunny songs in Spanish as they are intended, I am not just feeling the vibe and the joy of the music and the art. I'm actually like, I have like this. I can. I know what they're saying. I know what he's saying. I can, I can be in more joy. So I just let myself off some fun. Because what are you gonna do? Get mad about it. So I'm really proud about that. That's a I think that's an epic life win. Not gonna lie.

Lesley Logan 6:50

All right, now for a mantra for you to end this amazing week, I hope, even if it was crap, because I don't look I don't know what's going on the world when you're listening to this, you know, I record these early. This is obviously in February. The Olympics are on. But you know, I hope that these episodes just are like a nice little like breaking your day, reminder that there's still a mantra that we can tell ourselves to just get ourselves through what's going on. So the responsibility for self-care is my own. The responsibility for self-care is my own. The responsibility for self-care is my own. You know, I don't, you know, I believe in that, you know I believe in that. I have a guest coming up on the pod, and we're gonna talk about how self-care is a system. And I, you know, I love that. I love me. My ADHD brain is loving me a system. So all right, loves, now, go have a great day. Share this podcast with a friend who needs to hear it. Share your favorite interview, your favorite recap episode. It means the world to me. We're in the top 1% but guess what? There are top .5% and that just means more amazing people being it till they see it. And I think it's an easier world to live in when everyone is acting like the person that they want to be, instead of waiting impatiently to get there. Have an amazing day.
